April 2014

TthiMy sister Maureen came into town with her fiancé to attend the Holt Auction Dinner. We had a fun time with them in town. I think Maureen could see how much Bea has changed, and how much she has stayed the same - she still spits.

Bea is enjoying preschool. She has her first school picture taken. I have not seen the picture yet. I told Bea that she was going to have her picture taken and that she needed to smile and say cheese. I asked her teacher how the picture went and she said Bea did great!  She said she told Bea to stand along the wall and wait while the next kid was getting his photo taken and she ran behind the kid and held her hands up behind him as the photographer was getting ready to take the picture. The teacher and photographer were laughing because Bea was photo bombing the little boy and she is only 3 years old.

The teacher decided Bea was ready to wear underwear instead of pull-ups. I did not think she was ready, but I am all in favor of her using the toilet consistently. She is doing pretty good. It helps in preschool that the toilets are low to the ground and she sees the 4 and 5 years old kids going to the bathroom by themselves. It has been two weeks, just pee accidents, no poops - however, if there are skid marks, Bea will not wear those underwear. She is very excited to be wearing underwear and will show anyone her underwear and she expects to see the other person's underwear also.

Easter was fun with Bea. My sister placed empty plastic eggs throughout her yard. Bea absolutely LOVED getting the eggs. She did not care that they were empty. she would just run to the next egg she saw.  When we were done, she asked more eggs? We colored 6 eggs at Alicia's house, then Bea's toes were painted blue because I bought some new play sandals. She loves looking at her toes.

The Easter bunny knocked on our door and dropped off an Easter basket full of toys, candy and goldfish filled eggs, and a pair of sandals, and Minnie pajamas.  She loved the chocolate filled eggs, not so much the jelly beans, nor the pretzel and pizza flavored goldfish.

I dressed her in her Easter dress after we were done with the chocolate. I asked my sister if she would take a picture of Bea and me with our dyed Easter eggs, I had place the egg carton on the floor and before I could Bea settled, she stepped on the eggs and totally cracked the blue one.  We went to church and had lunch at my Mom's/sister's house. My brother-in-law had the sprinkler on, can you guess who was soaked? Yes, Bea loves getting in the water. We hunted for more eggs and had a good time.
